"Good thing's come to those who wait..."

This is a saying I'd heard numerous times over the past few difficult years, to cut a very long story short - I was forced to leave my two beautiful labrador's behind and start a whole new life. The pain I felt from leaving my girls was unfathomable and it will stay with me forever.

Fast forward several years and I found myself lucky enough to be in a position where I could start the search for a new four-legged best friend. After months and months of looking and scanning through hundreds of 'Champdog' links, I found Henleywood Labradors, within minutes I was making contact with Carol via email as everything I read on her website seemed too good to be true. After a number of phone calls with Carol I could only hope that I would be lucky enough to be offered a space on her ever-extending Henleywood Labradors' waiting list!

Several weeks later, I made it onto the waiting list and was truly honoured to be offered one of Gracie's pups!! The countdown to 'Visit Puppy Day' was painfully slow, I remember driving down to Shropshire feeling nervous and excited. Within seconds of meeting Carol, I knew the wait was worth it! Carol is so knowledgeable and caring, the warmth and love she radiates when talking about her puppies is infectious! There wasn't a single thing she didn't know about each and every one of the pups. From their birth weight to their little characters, and even their growls and barks! Her home is immaculate and the set-up she has for her pups and their lovely mums is more than reassuring; from the CCTV at the gates, to the change of shoes at the door. The information regarding health tests, feeding, training etc. that Carol has to offer about the pups and their beautiful mum is more than anyone could ever need! Her pup-dates on the private Facebook page are always worth a watch, and it's exciting to get to see your puppy grow.

The day I picked my beautiful Rosie-Wren up I was a tearful mess!! Without Carol's love, care and trust - in me, I would never have been able to fill that heartbroken void I felt inside. I will undoubtedly be in touch with Carol again very soon as Rosie-Wren is ready for a baby sister!

I would say to anyone thinking of opening up their lives to home a labrador puppy - save yourselves months of research and contact Carol at Henleywood Labradors, she is ranked 5* for a reason.

With all my heart, I thank you Carol!!

On the 4th of March, we collected Reggie. He is from Grace and Morse's first litter, born on January 7, 2024.

We found Henleywood when searching the internet, as we were ready to take on another Labrador after two years. The testimonials were very good, with nothing but praise for Henleywood.

We visited Carol in September to meet her girls and were very impressed with everything we saw. Carol put us on the list for Grace. Up to and following the birth of the puppies, we were provided with updates on Grace’s progress and subsequently the pups. From the first moment, I fell in love with Green Collar and felt very lucky when Carol rang to offer him to me.

Reggie has been a joy, sometimes challenging (I forgot what it was like to have a puppy!). We have hit the teenage stage, and every day is an adventure. He is a beautiful dark red, almost mahogany in colour, and we are constantly being stopped when out walking by people commenting on his colour.

We are very lucky to be part of the Henleywood family and look forward to seeing the new generations as they come along.

I would thoroughly recommend Carol and Henleywood to all prospective Labrador owners.

Thank you, Carol, for allowing us to have one of your beautiful pups.

— Connie

We picked our beautiful Hudson up on 3rd March 2024, 2nd biggest of the litter from Grace & Morse. From my initial talk with Carol back last year, and the many many other chats/messages we had (where she was always so helpful with any questions I had) plus the glorious & invaluable daily facebook posts showing from the actual birth right up to collection -well I cannot recommend Carol & Henleywood Labradors enough. Firstly - I was so impressed and pleased that Carol took the time to find out about me and our family home/life to make sure we were right for one of her pups, it shows how much she really loves and cares for all of her dogs.

Then - the way she allowed us all to be involved in seeing all of the puppies (and all of her beautiful Labs) on a daily basis on the FB group, which made me feel a real part of all our their lives. More than that, it showed me just how happy, loved, content, and properly taken care of these beautiful puppies were, and how Grace so adoringly nurtured them all too.

Watching them all grow in character & confidence every day was a privilege, and I loved watching the videos with a big smile on my face.

Matching the puppies with the right new homes for them cannot be an easy task - but Carol absolutely nailed it for us. Hudson is an absolute joy and became an integral part of our family the very moment we met him. Those eyes!!!!! He is such a beautiful soul, confident, mischievous, so affectionate, but most importantly - he’s happy and trusting and developing a glorious character & personality. The socialising and nurturing he had at Henleywood has reaped dividends - he’s excelling in his puppy class, and so good with people, especially children.

Our vet is so happy with how healthy and content he is - they are all in love with him there.

To say we are delighted is an understatement, we are just besotted with Hudson.

And why did we choose Carol & Henleywood? Because by chance we met one of her puppies from last year (Scout from Nell), and the owner just raved about Carol & Henleywood and how amazing her experience had been. She was right!!!

Thank you Carol, for entrusting Hudson aka Black, to us. We’ve got him xxxxx

I 'discovered' Carol a good few years ago now and as we live locally to each other we soon became firm friends, spending many hours walking our dogs together and putting the world to rights!

Mable was just a puppy back in those days but we loved each other from the start .Mable to me is very special!❤️

Having said that, all of Carol's dogs have lovely temperaments and all are a joy to be around - I've even holidayed with Nelly (& Carol of course!)😎.

I have supported Carol and Kevin though many a litter delivery and its such a privilege to be part of their team. Both Carol & Kevin go above and beyond caring for each and every puppy and all new puppy owners receive regular updates, including videos, right from the birth until they leave at 8 weeks.

So much work goes on behind the scenes to produce pups that are confident, well socialised and by 8 weeks ready to continue their journey with their new owners.

Carol will offer guidance as to which puppy will best fit in with your lifestyle as she spends time watching them as they play, feed and sleep- by 6-8 weeks she knows each puppy inside out!

I have always wanted a little Mable of my own and in 2023 the time was right. On September 24th 2023 Mable gave birth to her 2nd litter of gorgeous puppies. I was of course present from the first indication (try and keep me away!) and helped each little pup into the world.

Once the black girls started to arrive I knew I would be adding to my pack!

With 13 puppies in the litter the next 8 weeks were hard work but also such fun. One little pup (green collar) always chose to be with me and my heart was captured.

Raven is an absolute delight and I can honestly say she has been the easiest puppy I've ever owned. She is way ahead on her training and learns so quickly... it's like she's been here before!

So thank you, my dear friend Carol, for letting me have one of your puppies and of course thank you Mable for providing me with a 'little you'.

— Sue & Raven

I stumbled over Henleywood Labradors in January 2023, I called Carol and we had a lovely chat about what our family could offer one of her puppies, she spoke so fondly and honestly about her “girls” and I just knew we needed a Henleywood lab in our lives. “Quirky” Mabel’s season came late and puppies were not due until September 2023. We got impatient, we put our names down and paid a deposit on another litter but something just didn’t feel right, the communication and updates were lacking as was the feeling I got from just talking to Carol, so we pulled out and we knew it was the best decision, we sighed with relief.

We were after a black boy to follow our older two black lab boys, the day came and Mabel started giving birth, Carol was all but live streaming this on the Facebook group and updating us on each birth, we were on tenterhooks as she delivered girl after girl, Mabel successfully birthed 13 gorgeous healthy puppies.. 9 girls, 4 boys (1 yellow). Phew… but would we be lucky enough to take home one of the three black boys?

Carol knew we were eagerly awaiting the news and we were so delighted to be offered a puppy. Our whole family followed along the daily updates and we quickly had a favourite, Carol then expressed her thoughts on which puppy would suit our busy working household with children, and bingo, they were the same puppy we’d had our eye on, red collar! We visited anyway just to confirm our selection and it was so lovely to meet the person behind the voice on the videos. Carol and Kevin are so much more than breeders, they adore the puppies and give them the absolute very best start in life.

We collected Milo in November 2023. He slotted perfectly into farm life, with other dogs, children, machinery, cows, he didn’t bat an eyelid. He is quietly confident, secretly trained (won’t retrieve a ball, but will bring you every bone/carcass/animal he can find) and absolutely loves a cuddle. Carol was spot on with her advice and continues to be a great source of support alongside the other litter owners. We have recommended Henleywood to so many people who have admired Milo to date, out in the field, in the pub, at school pick-up, on the beach, he’s been hugely popular and very well complimented. Milo has a fantastic life ahead of him with us here but we couldn’t have asked for a better start to life. You simply won’t regret choosing one of Carol & Kevin’s puppies.

Lots of love

— Milo and Family xx

After losing my last Labrador, I decided it was time to start my search for my new best mate. After looking around, I was given Carol's name. I knew what I was looking for, and having just completed my dog trainer course, I knew what to look for when it comes to a good breeder.

After contacting Carol and having what seemed like a quick call (it wasn’t, it was over an hour), I knew I had found the right breeder. So now it was the waiting game as I had decided I was after another Black Labrador (however, after meeting Carol's gang, I would have happily gone for a fox red as well).

Carol was brilliant, and I was able to go meet Mabel (as well as the other girls) before she even went into season. Then the exciting times of hearing about the mating, the regular updates on the pregnancy, and then the birth (me praying every time a pup was born as I also wanted a girl). After a few hours, I knew that I was going to be having a new pal in around 8 weeks.

Carol is amazing with the regular updates, and I know all the other Henleywood owners enjoyed the almost daily posts on the private Facebook page. Carol and Kevin give their new recruits the best start in life by introducing them to as many things as possible but in a very kind and ethical way, which builds them into confident pups before they go into the big wide world.

So, then it was time to choose, with the help of Carol (who knows the pups inside out), I ended up choosing Sea Green as she was known, later to become Quinn. 6 Months on and Quinn is my constant companion, enjoying exploring through the woods and down the beach, taking on the world together.

So a massive thank you to Carol and Kevin at Henleywood and of course, the wonderful Mabel for entrusting me with Quinn.

Cye & Quinn

After trying to find a good Labrador breeder, I came across Henleywood Labradors. The journey Carol takes you on, from the birth to when you collect your precious puppy, with constant videos, updates, and personality observations, is very special. Layla (Mabel 23) is a dream; she’s so intelligent, loving, funny, and well-behaved. We have constant help and advice from the Henleywood community

— Alison

Hi Carol,

We were lucky enough to bring home Freddie, from Mabel’s 2023 litter. We saw the advert on Champdogs one evening and the next morning Carol made herself available to talk to us, explaining her set up and taking the time to get to know us. That week we visited her home and we got to see where the pups are raised, and go for a lovely walk with her and her beautiful dogs. As we left, a rainbow appeared and it truly felt like a sign from our previous dog who sadly passed, telling us that we had found the perfect breeder.

When

Mabel gave birth Carol kept us updated on the Facebook page and we got to follow the pups from birth all the way up to collection at eight weeks. When we met Freddie at six weeks it felt like we already knew him. Carol raises healthy, confident and beautiful puppies. As they grow she watches their personalities and guides owners towards puppies she believes are most suited to them, which shows the care and attention she puts into both raising the pups, and getting to know the new owners. The

collection day was very well organised, and as always Carol took the time to make sure everyone was happy. Freddie is six months old now but we still keep in regular contact with Carol. She answers any questions we have and genuinely loves hearing how Freddie is getting on. She is a breeder who cares, and you won’t find anyone better. We are all looking forward to seeing Carol and her dogs in the summer for a walk and catch-up. We

can’t thank you enough for our beautiful boy.

Sophie, Jude and Freddie xx

“I was lucky enough to get one of Bonnie’s fox red puppies (Spring 2023)

I found Carol on Champdogs after doing a lot of research (and having a bad experience visiting another - apparently - kennel club accredited breeder).

I contacted Carol and from the first conversation I had a good feeling about it. The questions she asked, the knowledge, the set-up she described and the way she talked about the pups - it’s consistent with the impression from I got from the website.

My pup is now nearly 12 weeks old. It’s hard to imagine a puppy getting a better start in life. She is a happy, confident, inquisitive and a very healthy beautiful pup - my vet says the same. Carol has a great set up - secluded home, lots of space and nature - other dogs around and where they sleep and play is great. Carol and her husband just put their heart and soul into the puppies and dogs.

Carol had a private Facebook group which I was reluctant to join but was great - she posts videos and photos of Bonnie and the pups daily from birth onwards - I felt I knew them before I visited.

I feel very lucky and it’s been worth waiting a bit longer for litter from a breeder I trusted. Great experience and would absolutely recommend.

Finally, as an example - I was walking with my puppy the other day (in a backpack, as she’s pre vaccines) and a dad in his car with his kids in the back pulled over and said - “I saw your puppy and had to ask - what breed is she and where you get her?”  I said to look up Henleywood. Their pups are literately stopping traffic.”

— Simon

We have always wanted to bring a dog into our home. When initially looking for labrador breeders, fate pointed us in the direction of Carol and Henleywood. After joining the Facebook page we were able to follow the progress of all Henleywood litters as well as gaining a real insight into the lives of their girls, who are without a doubt part of the family.

We recently bought home Buddy (from Bonnie's first litter, January 2023), he is more than we could have hoped for. He is so confident and chilled out, but with a real desire to want to please us. This is credit to his well thought out breeding and all the sights, sounds and smells he has been exposed to during his first 8 weeks before coming home. And we have loved seeing every step of his journey from birth to the day we went to collect him.

You are not just getting a dog from Henleywood, you are joining a wonderful extended family and community of Henleywood labrador owners. For us it was important to know about Buddy's pedigree, and to be able to see photos and videos of his Mum, Nan, Great Nan and Aunties, as well as being able to watch his brothers and sisters grow and go on their adventures through the Facebook page.

Carol is more than just a breeder to us, not only did we find our dream pup, but we made a life long friend along the way. Her dedication and love for every single litter raised and her wealth of knowledge and experience is second to none, thrown in with a great sense of humour there is nowhere else we would turn to for a second!

Thank you to Carol, Kevin and Jordan for all you have done in giving our gorgeous Buddy the absolute best start in life!

Karen & Kelly-Anne

“We are so delighted with our little Labrador puppy, Bobby (Bonnie’s litter 2023). He is bright, confident, loving, and overflowing with character. He has settled so well here and is already adored by the whole family and by Rudi, our 10 year old fox red Labrador.

I can’t recommend Henleywood Labradors highly enough. They do things properly. The puppies are so well cared for and socialised right from the start, and so much effort goes into nurturing each of them so that they become perfect additions to any home.

Carol goes to great lengths to keep people updated on the puppies’ progress, through regular Facebook videos and photos to detailed emails providing every bit of information and advice for new puppy owners.

So much thought and preparation goes into the puppies’ departure day too, with a goody bag packed with food, toys that smell of their Mum and litter mates, and useful training equipment.

Thank you to Carol and everyone at Henleywood Labradors”

— The Greenhalgh family

“It took me and my partner what feels like a very long time to find a trustworthy breeder.

When we came across Carol and her website, we could not of been happier! Carol was excellent at communication right from the get go, she was straight up with us, and put us on the waiting list for Bonnies 2023 litter, we waited 6 months for our perfect little puppy, it did not occur to us once to go somewhere else. Carol was updating us regularly and keeping us up to date from the moment of conception to the moment Bonnie gave birth in her pen.

With constant videos/ photos we really felt like part of the journey which was so magical. We live far away and had to drive a distance to collect our puppy, Carol completely understood this and helped us with picking the perfect puppy for us via FaceTime / video calls. We could not be more grateful to Carol for giving us the most perfect gift and for all the work she does. She also gave us an amazing puppy pack containing loads of fun toys, a puppy manual, extensive paperwork/documents and training equipment.

Thank you to everyone at Henleywood!”

— Daisie & Callum

“We have been so pleased that we chose Henleywood Labradors as our breeder. Carol has been an absolute star. She updates regularly on Facebook, is totally open to answering questions, gives top tips and advice…the process was incredibly smooth and wonderful. Of course the absolute best part has been welcoming our little Lola into the family. She has proven to be a wonderful puppy which is testament to her amazing genes and positive start in life. I couldn’t recommend them enough and if we ever get another dog I know where I’ll go!”

— Kerry

A huge thank you to Carol, Jordan and Kevin. We were lucky enough to be chosen to have one of Hattie's 2022 litter and what a gorgeous boy he is. He is super confident, incredibly intelligent, very funny and oh my, does he love his kisses!

Carol and Jordan are incredibly attentive to their puppies and update regularly, to the point you are almost watching them grow. Every step of their development is documented and the love and care showered on these puppies is everything! They have already experienced so much before they even leave for their new homes which only enhances their confidence. They are also very handsome dogs to the point training is tricky as every person we saw wants to stop and say hello, commenting on how gorgeous he is, how beautifully behaved he is and how well he walks on the lead. He has settled in well with his big brother, although this has taken some time which was to be expected for an older lab who had never lived with a puppy before. Now we struggle to stop them playing (and we actually don't want to as it's so lovely to see, even if it is loud!) Carol and Jordan are incredibly committed to breeding healthy, well-rounded puppies and are so passionate about all things Labrador! I would not hesitate to recommend Henleywood Labradors, Carol and Jordan to anyone.

Thank you Carol, Jordan and Kevin for allowing us the chance to have a Henleywood pup, our gorgeous whirlwind, Ollie.

— Kirsty & Andy

“I would like to thank Carol and Jordan at Henleywood Labradors for the opportunity to own one of their Labrador puppies (Hattie 2022).The journey from conception through to ownership was shared with information, photos and videos. It is clear how passionate and committed they are to each stage of development, which has resulted in a wonderful puppy that has had the very best start in life. I would highly recommend Henleywood Labradors to anyone wanting to own a Labrador.”

— Carol S.

Following my brother's advice I spoke to Carol about the possibility of having a Henleywood Labrador and knew straight away that this was somebody I would trust. Fate would have it that within weeks one of the people about to take on a puppy bravely made the decision that the time was not right for them. I rang Carol again and said we were very interested but I needed to be sure everybody was in agreement at that time.

She could have said there's people waiting but she respected my wish to be certain about that and gave us the several hours required. Within days lockdown was declared and so we had an amazing summer to bond with Meru, one of nine puppies in Hattie's first litter. She has been a rascal at times and gets into all sorts of mischief but she is loving, kind and loyal. She has always had a fearsome deep bark that must be terrifying but it's all show - she's even frightened of our hens! I'd love to be her best friend but I thought that would always be her ball.

Two weeks today Malcolm, Meru's half brother, joined the family and she has abandoned her ball at times to play with him. She has been so tolerant with him whilst firmly letting him know she is boss and they play and play and play. There is no doubt that he has completed the family and especially so for Meru. Malcolm has a steady confidence, loves everybody and has a tiny little bark, but I'm sure it will grow with him.

Carol and Jordan have offered so much advice and support over the years and to know they are always at the end of the phone is so reassuring. Their knowledge of Hattie's current litter and of Meru helped make the choice of Malcolm easier and her match making seems perfect. They feel more like family than breeders of our puppies.

Sam, Ant, Zoe, Amy, Meru and Malcolm xx

“We would not hesitate to recommend Henleywood Labradors. You could not find more dedicated and caring breeders than Carol and Jordan.

Watson (Hattie 2022) has been with us for just 2 weeks and we adore him.

Through Carol’s regular Facebook updates we were able to follow Hattie’s pregnancy then watch Watson from birth, taking his first wobbly steps, right through to playtimes with his litter mates. We felt we had got to know him before picking him up.

Watson is the most beautiful, confident and affectionate puppy with a real willingness to learn. From day one he has been my little shadow and it is clear that he is going to grow up to be the perfect family dog.

We are so grateful for our little boy, he is amazing. Thank you so much for giving him the very best start in life”

— Nicky and Mark

“We feel so very lucky to have found Carol and her team at Henleywood when we were thinking about adding a new member to our family.

From the first email contact with Carol followed by a phone call where she was so helpful and passionate about her dogs, I knew then I wanted a Henleywood Pup.

Ted (Hattie’s 2022 litter) has been with us for just over 2 weeks and is the perfect addition to our family. What a gorgeous and confident pup he is with a great character and the perfect Labrador smile and bum wiggle.

A very big thank you to Carol & the team who kept us all up to date with regular pictures and videos throughout the first 8 weeks and for all the knowledge and advise you continue to give.

We cannot imagine our home without Ted now”

— Sue

“What a joy owning a Henleywood labrador is! From the start of the journey when we rejoiced in the fact that Hattie was pregnant, through to the the birth and then picking up our bundle of joy and mischief, Carol kept the would-be parents fully up-to-date with Facebook videos and photos. By the time we met our little one, we felt we knew him! And what a calm, loving, inquisitive little chap he is! What's more, we know that Carol is always there for us, should we need any advice. Henleywood labs are the best!”

— C&M

“When we made the decision to introduce a Labrador puppy to our family I wasn’t really sure where to start, but after looking on The Kennel Club website I had a few numbers to ring. It was shear luck on our part that it was Carol’s number I rang first and the conversation I had with her was enough I needed not to ring anyone else.

The passion Carol has for her dogs and puppies is second to none. It was so compelling and even though she explained the situation, as it was, regarding the waiting lists I came off the phone and told my husband we should wait for a Henleywood dog. We joined the Henleywood Labrador Facebook group and it felt as though our journey had began. We followed as Orrie’s pups were born, and even though we knew her waiting list was already full we couldn’t help enjoy the photos and videos.

When Mabel’s pups were born we learnt that our dream was about to come true. Carol’s pictures, videos and updates were posted several times a week, sometimes several daily, and it made the first 8 weeks so special, especially for our 8 year old daughter.

By the time our pick up day arrived we had learnt so much from Carol and we felt like we had been part of Jasmine’s life from day one. From the first day we brought Jasmine home she was confident and not in the slightest bit phased by noises from the washing machine, TV, hoover etc. She has only been with us for 4 weeks now and she is a clever, cheeky, chewy, funny, and totally adorable, member of our family.

We still enjoy the Facebook page and following the journeys of all the pups as well as the stunning Henleywood Labrador girl dogs. I would not hesitate to recommend Carol & Jordan at Henleywood Labradors.”

— Bev, Stephen & Esmay

“Please, please do not look any further, than Henleywood, if you are looking for a very special Labrador!

Carol and Jordan are the most caring breeders you could ever wish for.

I was recommended whole heartedly by a Henleywood owner, we met on our holiday and as soon as I spoke to Carol, I just knew that I only wanted a Labrador from this very special lady for our family.

Every step of the way, from the initial questions I had .. right through to collecting our Ginny at 8 weeks old, Carol was there for us.

We learned so much throughout our journey too, not just about Ginny’s fabulous mum Nell and her dad too, but lots of insightful information throughout the Nell’s pregnancy and was lucky enough to view some of her puppies being born too online.

Carol and Jordan always put their dogs first and that is so special to see… it is how breeders should be… caring and respectful to all their four legged friends.

I would not hesitate to recommend Henleywood to anyone, wanting a very happy, playful, balanced and loving Labrador.

This is our Ginny at 16 months old.. we love her so much and feel so proud and honoured that we are part of this fantastic Henleywood family! X”

— Sue

"We were recommended a Henleywood puppy from a friend whose family had a puppy from a previous litter. We were delighted to make the waiting list for one of Mabels puppies, who is a gorgeous dog. We were able to visit our chosen puppy and you could really see the care and attention Carol and her family gave all the puppies and their dogs. We loved following the photo and video updates through the Facebook page. Carol was brilliant at keeping us updated throughout the entire process, sharing any tips, and answering any questions we had. We have had Bollie just over 3 weeks now and she is such a delight, and we now couldn't imagine life without her."

— Hannah and Ciaran

“Choosing a breeder and new puppy can be a minefield for first time owners like us but we were fortunate to find Carol and Jordan at Henleywood.

They both took time to answer our many rookie queries and kept us up-dated on the development of the litter so that we could make an informed choice about which puppy would be right for us.

We were also reassured by not only meeting the pups and their mum, Mabel but all the Henleywood dogs who are all happy, friendly and obviously much loved.

Our puppy, Sidan has now been with us for three weeks and we know that if we have any further queries, Carol will be more than happy to help.

We have no hesitation in recommending Henleywood Labradors.”

— Marcus & Sandie

"We have recently had our little Nellie from Henleywood Labradors and have had a brilliant experience start to finish. Carol and Jordan are absolutely lovely and have been on hand to answer any questions throughout the whole process. We were able to visit the puppies at 5 weeks alongside beautiful mum, Effie, and it was clear that they are so well cared for and that Carol and Jordan really take pride in what they do. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Henleywood to anyone looking for a Labrador puppy, we've had a fantastic experience and we couldn't be more grateful for our beautiful Nellie. We look forward to watching her grow up with her big sister, Cocoa."

— Charlotte, Alex, Cocoa & Nellie

“At the end of January 2022 we became the very lucky new owners of one of Mabel’s litter, a beautiful black lab who we have named Finlay. Henleywood Labradors came highly recommended by our daughter and her partner who collected one of Orrie’s gorgeous pups, Nellie, in December (2021). We were all so impressed by the care and attention that both Carol and her son Jordan gave at what was a really busy time for them. They worked tirelessly to care for the new mums and their puppies, regularly posting updates on how they were all progressing and it was a privilege to follow the progress of our wonderful Finlay and Nellie right through, from the pregnancy scans to their birth and their first 8 weeks. We cannot recommend Henleywood Labradors highly enough as we believe that they are first class breeders who care deeply about what they do. We couldn’t be happier with these new additions to our family.”

“The love Carol has for her pups is immense - we know our Ozzy had the best start in life thanks to her. Their health and happiness is prioritised over everything. We loved how she was so committed to making sure they go to loving homes, and making sure we were matched with the puppy best suited for us. Ozzy is the most fun, gentle, loving and handsome (we’re biased I know) puppy and is growing up to be the most well rounded family pet. He is so well natured and it’s a real testament to Carol’s care of him in the first two months of his life. There’s no better than a HW lab!”

“We lost our beloved black lab, Indie from cancer in 2019 and life felt empty without a dog. From the moment I spoke to Carol I knew I wanted one of her puppies. It was obvious she loved her dogs, and she was so lovely with me when I started crying about losing Indie.

Carol involved us throughout; when Hattie went to stud, finding out she was pregnant and following the pregnancy and birth. It was all so exciting.

When we chose our puppy who we also called Hattie, we got pretty much daily photos and videos of her progression.

Our Hattie is over one now and has brought us so much joy. She is so loving and gentle and particularly soft with our four young grandchildren who adore her.

She is a wonderful family dog but also amazingly athletic and would be a fantastic working dog too.

We can’t thank Carol enough.”

“When we first visited and met Carol we knew she would have our perfect family companion. Rosie had already chosen us with her sweet natured cuddles. Carol messaged pictures, videos and all types of updates throughout the 8 weeks and we had great confidence we were getting the most cared for and loved puppy…

“We have Amber, sister to Orrie. Born September 2017. Amber is so loving, bouncy, fantastic with the grandchildren. Makes us laugh with her antics as she plays chase around the garden with our other dog. She has the waggiest tail ever. Which when she is really excited her whole back end wiggles. We always recommend Carol to anyone we know who wants a Labrador, and actually any dog to be honest as we know how fantastic a job Carol does in the first weeks of the puppies lives. Truly a much loved member of our family.”

“We had never owned a dog before but had set our hearts on a girl Labrador and fate found Carol for us and the wonderful Henleywood labs. Carol was so kind, helpful, honest and informative and didn't hesitate to let us newbies have one of her beautiful puppies. She is the best breeder and we were so lucky to find her and get our Ruby. Ruby is the most loving, sassy, playful, gentle, happy minx and everyone comments on how beautiful she is, a credit to Carol and Kringle. Ruby is a family dog who loves being with people and running over the fields and sleeping on our bed!! When we are ready for our next Labrador we will not even think about anyone else but Carol and Henleywood”

“I did a lot of searching to find the right dog breeder when I came across Henleywood Labradors. When I spoke to Carol on the phone I knew I had found a breeder who was clearly passionate about the welfare of her dogs. Carol shared lots of videos and photos with us, which meant we were able to follow Alfie and his siblings progress right from birth to the day we picked him up and also check in to see how mum was doing to. We felt totally confident that Alfie had, had the best start in life.
I would recommend Carol and her Henleywood Labradors in heartbeat.”

Sending you lots love from
Alfie, Angela and Glen xx

I really don’t know where to start when recommending Carol and Henleywood Labradors. We are blessed to own Clementine, the most beautiful dog who is gentle, sensitive, obedient, loving and fun - what more could you want? This doesn’t happen by accident as Carol is more that “just” a breeder, she loves her dogs as family pets and each litter born is loved and cared for as if the first she has bred. The environment the puppies grow in is very hygienic and as they develop they are well socialised. Carol is a breeder extraordinaire and all the Baker family agree that Henleywood Labradors rule!”

“Zeus was a birthday present for husband Martin on his 60th. As a family he has enriched our lives beyond compare. Love, laughter and all with a sweet soul like his Mum Darcy. The single sock conundrum has been answered, Zeus has it!

I remember Carol saying to me he liked to carry something in his mouth and to this day he greets family and friends this way. We can only attribute the lovely disposition and health of these little bundles to hard work and dedication of Carol and her crew.”

“You will not find a better Labrador puppy breeder. From the first phone call with Carol, to the collection of Winnie (Orrie Sept 2020) and a few times thereafter when I wasn’t sure on the kibble or because Winnie was a crocopup and I needed advice - which was to wear wellies, Carol has been amazing - to watch Orrie through her pregnancy, to see the pups come into the world, and to watch them daily through their 8 weeks to collection - so so special. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful pup in Winnie - a clever, loving, cheeky, ball chasing, water splashing girl. Thank you Carol.”

“I still cant believe how lucky we are to have found Carol and the Henleywood family! Sally makes us smile everyday we cant thank Carol enough for choosing us as her Humans. The first 8 weeks Carol provides such a loving and safe environment for the puppy’s to grow and keeps you informed every step of the way with pictures and videos as often as possible! Due to covid regulations our first meeting with sally was the day we collected her but because of Carols “pupdates” we already felt we knew her for weeks before. We really cant thank you enough Carol.”

Lilly is a lovely and gentle dog. I love playing fetch with her and cuddling her on the sofa. Lilly is my best friend in the whole wide world and I’m very pleased that we got her.

“We can't recommend Carol and her Henleywood Labradors highly enough. Carol is an amazing breeder, incredibly caring with daily updates on the pups progress. Nothing is too much trouble for her. Our Katy-Jane, mum Kringle, Aug 2017 litter, is the most amazing Labrador we have had the pleasure of owning. She is very loving, incredibly gentle with the grandchildren, kind and thoughtful (if you can attach these traits to a dog!) Hopefully we won't need to return to Carol for a good number of years, but if we did, we certainly wouldn't go anywhere else for a Labrador puppy. We can't thank you enough Carol for our beautiful Katy-Jane.”

“The moment I spoke to Carol on the phone I knew that she was a caring and considerate breeder and that we would be so lucky to have a Henleywood Lab.

We first met Otis with his brothers and sisters when he was just a few weeks old In June 2018. Every puppy was adorable but there was something about the little boy who sat happily with Chris that melted our hearts. He travelled home with us in our motorhome some weeks later and has rarely left our side since. I remember Carol saying that she knew Otis would be Chris’ dog - they just bonded and that loving relationship has continued.

Everyone loves Otis even the postman and couriers who at first hear his deep bark and think he could be dangerous but quickly realise that he would be more likely to lick them to death than bite. He has lots of human and canine friends, he smiles through life and makes everyone smile with him. Otis is loving and loyal, cheeky and fun, he does everything at full speed outside but indoors is chilled, in short everything we wanted and more.

Our boy is special and we put this down to the care Carol takes in choosing the Stud, her beautiful girls who all seem to be fabulous Mums and the love and care that is given to the puppies during their time with Carol and her family.

As owners we feel privileged to have a Henleywood Lab and can’t wait to welcome another into our family later this year!”
